International buyers bought only about 67,000 homes in the U.S. over the last 12 months ending in March, a near-record low

Foreigners are pulling back real-estate purchases in America amid an ongoing shortage of homes for sale, affordability challenges and an uncertain political climate.

International buyers made $45.3 billion worth of residential purchases between April 2025 and March 2026 — a 19% drop from the previous year, according to an annual report from the National Association of Realtors.
